Chase Funko Pop with Chase Limited Edition sticker

What Is a Chase Funko Pop? (And Why Collectors Hunt Them)

You've seen the yellow sticker: Chase Limited Edition. But what exactly is a chase Funko Pop, how rare is it, and is it worth paying extra for? Here's everything you need to know.

The short answer

A chase is a rare variant of a standard Funko Pop, shipped randomly in the same cases as the common version — typically at a ratio of 1 in 6. Same character, same Pop number, but with a twist: a glow-in-the-dark finish, an alternate pose, a different outfit or a metallic coat.

Why chases are worth more

Simple scarcity. For every six copies of the common version, only one chase exists. Add a US retailer exclusive sticker on top — a Hot Topic or Target chase — and you have one of the rarest combinations in the hobby. Chases routinely trade at 2–5x the price of the common version, and vaulted chases can climb much higher.

How to spot a real chase

  • The yellow round "Chase Limited Edition" sticker on the front of the box.
  • The figure itself differs from the common version — compare the window.
  • Beware of resealed boxes: a chase sticker on a common figure is a known scam. Buy from sellers who photograph the actual item.

Chase hunting in Europe

Chases from US retailers rarely make it to Europe at all — and importing one yourself means shipping, customs and 25% import VAT on an already expensive Pop. At Pops of the Galaxy every chase is already in Denmark and ships with no import costs. We photograph and describe the exact sticker on every product.

Browse our current chases in the US Exclusives collection — and if your grail chase isn't there, request it. #KeepCollecting
