Funko Pop Sticker Guide: Every Exclusive Sticker Explained
To a collector, the sticker is half the story. Two identical Funko Pops can differ hundreds of kroner in value depending on the sticker in the corner of the box. This guide explains every major Funko Pop sticker type — and why US retailer stickers are the most sought after.
US retailer exclusive stickers
These Pops are released exclusively through a specific US retailer, and the sticker proves it. The most common ones you'll find at Pops of the Galaxy:
- Target Exclusive – the red bullseye sticker, one of the most collected.
- Hot Topic Exclusive – common on anime, horror and pop-culture Pops.
- BoxLunch Exclusive – often Disney and Marvel releases.
- Walmart, Amazon & GameStop Exclusives – retailer-specific runs, often glow-in-the-dark or metallic variants.
- Funko Shop Exclusive – sold only through Funko's own webshop, typically small runs.
Convention stickers
Released at events like San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), New York Comic-Con (NYCC) and Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC). A shared convention sticker means the Pop was also sold through a retail partner; an official convention sticker means it was only available at the event — and is usually worth more.
Chase stickers
A chase is a rare variant of a regular Pop — typically 1 in 6 — marked with a yellow "Chase Limited Edition" sticker. Same character, different detail: a glow effect, alternate pose or different finish.
Special Edition: the European sticker
When a US exclusive is later released in Europe, it carries a "Special Edition" sticker instead of the original retailer sticker. It's the same figure — but for most collectors, the original US sticker is the one that counts, and it holds its value better.
